_{Open House - Fantastic}

*100% of our attending adults helped in the preparation!

*1,000 homes in our neighborhood received a brochure about the church and
the next week an invitation. These were hand delivered to their mailboxes (not to worry – it is legal here)

* We had a total of 11 new visitors including one couple who are expecting a baby this week.

* Several asked for prayer for forgiveness of sins.

* There was a sense of the joy of the Lord in our midst.(God was smiling over your prayers)

* The kids had a blast with Marilyn and Olga making houseshoes

New Location New Opportunities

Our new location for the local church to meet is on the 3^rd floor of an office building. Already two visitors have commented that this seems strange but more appropriate for a church reaching out to the world today. On September 21^st we are holding a Vision and Planning Day to pray and plan our outreach to the over 1,000 dwellings in the three blocks around our location. We would love for you to join with us on our prayer walks and literature distribution – well at least in prayer. We also will be planning outreach ministry to the children, teens and elderly of our area. On October 19^th we will have our official Open House to greet our neighbors and others guests. Please pray with us that these contacts will result in many opportunities to share the Good News of the Gospel in homes.

Missions Trip with Nicole

Odessa is in the part of Ukraine where Russian is spoken, and we were amazed how much Russian came back to us. It was great to be with our friends, Kerry, Carole and Sergey. The love of Christ that we saw given so freely to the street children of Odessa was overwhelming and a lesson in itself. Seeing 2 mothers who had just given up the legal rights to their daughters

was heart wrenching and filled us with questions. Seeing the kids living on the street being loved and cared for as they came to the First Step Center and the hope of the girls living in Hope House – we saw the transformation and peace that comes as the love and hope of Jesus is shared. All 3 of us thank God for the privilege of sharing His love in small ways there in Odessa. Yes, the eyes of our hearts were opened!
